Our guiding Councils and Community Advisory Committee

COORDINARE has established three types of advisory councils that each report to the Board. The councils assist the organisation to evaluate outcomes of services and provide advice regarding the design of new services to meet the needs of local communities.

    Aboriginal Health Councils

The Aboriginal Health Councils play a vital role in identifying gaps and opportunities in culturally safe, accessible primary health care for local Aboriginal communities, while also shaping COORDINARE’s strategy, planning, and policies.

This year Roslyn Carriage, Teena Riley, Nikkei Simon, Jennie Gordon, Karen Shepherd, Marion Knight, and David MacQueen joined the Illawarra Shoalhaven and Southern NSW Aboriginal Health Councils.

The Illawarra Shoalhaven and Southern NSW Clinical Councils provide expert advice on primary care issues, helping COORDINARE identify local health needs and drive improvements in health care accessibility and outcomes.

All members are practicing health professionals from the region. This year, we welcomed new member Ms Katie Southwell to the Illawarra Shoalhaven. We also welcomed Ms Elise Coppins to Southern NSW.
