We work closely with consumers and communities to understand local health needs and actively involve them in planning, designing, delivering, and evaluating services. Our goal is to foster more equitable and improved health outcomes across the region.

Connected with people living with dementia at The Illawarra Dementia Forum.

Developed a patient and carer information webpage for our Palliative Approach Framework.

Funded ‘10 Things to Know Before You Go’ community workshops in Goulburn, Eden, Bermagui, Albion Park, Sanctuary Point and virtual.

Provided ongoing support of the Illawarra Shoalhaven and Bega Valley Eurobodalla Suicide Prevention Collaboratives.

Supported collaboration of people with lived and living experience of suicide and local organisations through Roses in the Ocean workshops.

Partnered with Everymind to deliver Mindframe Plus workshops to 25 participants from eight local organisations, supporting safe and respectful communication about suicide.

Saw SNSWLHD's ‘Helping Our Youth See Through The Haze’ project recently win a 2024 ACI Rural Innovation Award.

Supported a free chronic pain community workshop in Cooma, facilitated by St Vincent’s Chronic Pain Service.

Promoting Advance Care Planning across South Eastern NSW

During National Advance Care Planning Week (17–23 March), COORDINARE highlighted the importance of preparing for future health care decisions through meaningful conversations and documented preferences. 

Bega Valley resident Annie Dullow shared her personal experience, explaining how her mother’s Advance Care Directive (ACD) ensured she received care aligned with her values in her aged care home, rather than being rushed to hospital.
