Welcoming Ministerial visits to our region

This year, we were honoured to welcome several key government leaders to our region, highlighting national support for local health initiatives.

Prime Minister, The Hon Anthony Albanese MP, joined Minister for Health and Aged Care, The Hon Mark Butler MP, and Member for Eden-Monaro, The Hon Kristy McBain MP, in Queanbeyan to announce the location of our new Medicare Urgent Care Clinic (UCC) – a major step forward in improving access to timely care.

In a separate visit, Minister Butler toured vital health services across the region with Member for Gilmore, Fiona Phillips, and COORDINARE CEO, Prudence Buist. Stops included:

  • Batemans Bay Urgent Care Clinic
  • headspace Batemans Bay
  • Beachside Pharmacy, Ulladulla
  • South Eastern NSW Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain Clinic at Milton Medical Centre.

We also welcomed Assistant Minister for Mental Health and Suicide Prevention, The Hon Emma McBride MP, alongside Kristy McBain MP, to tour services in Goulburn. Their visit included:

  • Goulburn Mental Health Hub
  • Goulburn Urgent Care Service
  • headspace Goulburn, where they met with Youth Reference Group members and staff to discuss youth mental health services.

These visits reflect a strong commitment to enhancing health care access and outcomes across South Eastern NSW.
