By continuing to work closely with primary care, we remain committed to strengthening services and delivering timely, relevant education and support. Our goal is to help build a resilient, sustainable health system that achieves better outcomes for communities across South Eastern NSW.

In 2024/25 we:

Invited primary care professionals to join the inaugural Disaster Preparedness and Response Interest Group.

Renewed our disaster preparedness action plan, and updated our disaster preparedness, response and recovery webpage.

Contributed to primary care research through the UOW Rural Health Research Conference and additional translational research in general practice related to microbial stewardship.

Began engaging with allied health professionals, launched our new webpage and allied health toolkit.

Supported Healthy Cities Australia community wellbeing and vaccination program.

Assisted general practice in navigating the General Practice in Aged Care Incentive and MyMedicare registrations.

Attended the Shoalhaven Medical Association conference to explore exercise, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal health.

Opened expressions of interest for our first GP scholarship in palliative care in the Illawarra Shoalhaven.

Partnered with the Australian Psychological Society’s Disaster Response Network to deliver online wellbeing sessions for general practice, aged care, and allied health staff.

Offered funded nurse immunisers the opportunity to undertake additional training in approaching vaccine hesitancy

Secured funding to provide health care to victim-survivors of family, domestic, and sexual violence in Moruya, Goulburn, and Nowra.

Supported GPs and practices to prepare and participate in the National Lung Cancer Screening Program.

Supported expansion of the Welcome Experience program in our region, to support essential workers and their families to relocate.

Maintained partnership with RDN to promote South Eastern NSW as a destination for health careers via our dedicated careers page.

Provided four practices with small grants to strengthen team-based, person-centred care through interprofessional learning

Commissioned Silverchain to deliver nurse-led cardiovascular risk prevention in nine general practices, with plans to expand in 2026-27.
